About me — why I do this

Someone recommended a reflexologist.

Many years ago, a close relative was suddenly struck by severe vertigo/labyrinthitis which did not respond to conventional treatment. After many months of illness, he was still unable to work due to continuing vertigo, nausea and poor balance. Someone recommended a reflexologist and to his amazement, after his first treatment he walked out of the room without losing balance for the first time in months. After each session his symptoms improved. Today he is well but still enjoys 'top up' sessions for relaxation.

On his recommendation I started having reflexology as my job was making me feel anxious and stressed. I loved the therapy immediately for the long lasting, deep relaxation it provided me and the seed was sown.

— Lila Davis, from her About me page

When an opportunity came up, I decided to train as a reflexologist myself, and sought the best qualification I could find; the Agored Cymru L5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology. I studied at the highly regarded Three Shires School of Reflexology in Milton Keynes. The qualification focuses all study and practical elements towards the practice of reflexology and is the equivalent of years 1 and 2 of a First-Degree course.

I recently decided to add Holistic Facials to my treatment menu and as a long time fan of Neal's Yard Remedies I chose these lovely organic, vegan and cruelty free products to offer a truly luxurious experience.

I am fully insured to provide foot and facial reflexology and use selected essential oils in my treatments. I am a Full Member of the Association of Reflexologists (AoR).

About my treatments

Three ways of working. All in the cabin.

Foot reflexology · 50 minute sequence

Foot Reflexology

Reflexology is a holistic therapy, meaning it is designed to treat the mind, body and spirit to restore wellbeing and rebalance energy. The therapy which has roots in ancient Egyptian practices uses a map of foot reflexes, that links to all parts of the body. Massage and pressure is used to access these points. This very relaxing treatment allows the body and mind to focus on any areas that are out of balance. Stress and tension naturally ease away, leaving the body's healing power, space to work its own magic.

Reflexology Facials

Facials are a wonderful way to relax and enjoy the benefits of some dedicated skin care that will result in a glowing complexion, reduced tension and improved lymphatic drainage. I use Neal's Yard Remedies products, which are organic, vegan and cruelty free. The treatment includes a double cleanse, warm muslin cloth rinse, tone and a facial reflexology massage with optional scalp, neck and shoulder massage. I finish with your choice of serum and moisturiser leaving you refreshed, relaxed and with your wellbeing replenished.

I can combine facial and foot reflexology for a truly lovely self-care experience.

RLD

Reflexology Lymph Drainage

RLD is a specific reflexology technique which has been developed to support the lymph system with its function of moving excess fluid from the tissues into the circulation where it can be eliminated from the body. Lymphoedema can be caused by damage to the lymph nodes, often during cancer treatment. The condition cannot be cured, but this technique has been shown to ease the symptoms associated with lymphoedema such as swelling, heaviness and pain in the affected limb.

Reflexology is a complementary therapy and should not be seen as a 'cure' in itself.

About reflexology — what to expect

Reflexology treats the whole person to bring about

  1. Increased relaxation
  2. Release of tension
  3. Improved sleep
  4. Improved mood
  5. Increased wellbeing

It feels like a lovely foot massage, but is much more than that. During the 50 minute sequence, I will apply pressure and massage techniques to the foot reflexes, which represent all areas of the body. The treatment is very soothing and most people drift off, and experience any stress and tension lift, leaving them feeling calm and relaxed during and after the session.

— Lila Davis

Many clients report a great night's sleep following their reflexology sessions and choose to return regularly due to the benefits they experience.

Booking

In the real build, this is where your diary goes.

The finished site would show live availability from Lila's own diary, against her published hours — weekdays 9am until 7pm, Saturdays 10am until 4pm — so a client picks a treatment and a time and it lands straight in her calendar. This prototype shows none of that: there is no calendar here, nothing submits, and nothing is collected.

  1. Choose a treatmentFoot, facial, RLD or a 90-minute combination — at the published price.
  2. Pick a time that is really freeRead live from Lila's diary. No double bookings, no phone tag.
  3. Get a reminderSo fewer appointments are forgotten, and the cabin stays booked.

For now, contact Lila the way she asks on her own site.

About this preview

This is a one-page prototype prepared by Fully Booked for Lila Davis Reflexology. It was built in an afternoon from what is publicly on her site. It is a taste of the direction, not the final thing. It is not an official Lila Davis Reflexology site, and it will be deleted immediately on request.

Her current site has these pages, in her own order, and the real build would carry every one of them:

  • Home
  • About Reflexology
  • Prices & Opening hours
  • About my treatments
  • About me
  • Contact Me
  • Blog

The real build would be considerably more detailed. It would carry her own photography, every treatment in full, live booking on her own diary against her published opening hours, gift vouchers, her four downloadable self-help guides, her blog, SEO and analytics, and working contact forms.

What is real and what is not on this page:

  • The prices and opening hours shown are her own published ones.
  • All photographs are hers, shown at their true size — none has been enlarged.
  • All quoted text is hers, taken from her own site.
  • Any "book" control is illustrative and nothing submits. There are no forms, no payment capture, no login, no customer-data collection, no cookies and no tracking on this page.
  • The phone and email links are her real published contact details.
